We love taco seasoning but we don’t love all those extra ingredients. Here is a version that we make that is just as good as the store-bought stuff. You can store it in a glass mason jar or even an old seasoning jar if you happen to have one lying around. I like to write the ingredients on a small index card or paper to tape to the jar so I don’t have to look for the recipe every time I need to refill my mix.
Don’t be afraid to tweak the recipe to your taste!
Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1 c. chili powder
- 2 T. onion powder
- 2 T. garlic powder
- 2 T. cumin
- 2 T. oregano
- 1 T. salt
- 1 T. pepper
- 2 t. paprika
Directions:
Mix everything together and put it in an airtight container.
Approximately 2 T = 1 packet of seasoning mix, but use as much or as little as you like.
