My kids have done an amazing job at sorting out their toys and straightening up around the house this morning. They even cleaned under the couch and the kitchen cart…. AMAZING!
DS5 is into so many things and his brain is always coming up with creative ideas. For the past week they have been going around the table at dinner time giving each person a chance to say what they are thankful for. DS5 wanted to take it one step further. He wanted a book, A Thankful Book to be exact, for everyone to write what they are thankful for.

I took about 5 minutes and sat down at the cleared table… yay… and put together this craft really quickly. First, I did a Google search for a turkey clipart. I found these that I liked:
The kids decided that they wanted to color the picture so I chose to use the black and white one. I then pasted this onto a blank document that was in landscape mode. I added a couple of text boxes and printed it.

Add a few blank pages so each person will have a page to write on.

Fold it in half and staple.

You have a book.

We will use these for our family and friends to write in tomorrow. Today the kids are busy taking turns writing on their pages and drawing pictures to go along with what they write.

Here is a link to the black and white version and the color version if you don’t have time to make your own. (I really hope the links work for you as I haven’t tried attaching documents before.)
Happy Thanksgiving!
#thankful
