Whew… what a crazy month July was. We were rushing to get our house remodeled. It seems we always have some big project before a big event. Everything turned out great though and we were blessed to have so many family and friends come to help us celebrate the new arrival… he should be here ANY DAY NOW!
It’s starting to feel like home….
This past week, we got the house back in order and got all of the decorations packed away until the next event… we did make a rule that baby showers/weddings need to happen before May 31st or after September 1st… it’s just too darn HOT here! Our poor ACs can’t keep up with the heat, especially when the doors are constantly opening/shutting, but we survived so it’s all OK. What isn’t Ok is last month’s electric bill!!! That was crazy and the company keeps going up and adding charges on top of regular charges… it is just completely ridiculous!

To get the party started, we used our Party Planning Notebook…. this helped us to brainstorm and keep track of everything we needed to make this Baby Shower a SUCCESS! Here’s a look at the menu:

For Breakfast on the day of I made 2 pans of cinnamon rolls and we topped them with leftover icing:

I didn’t get as many photos as I should have but I will update the post if others happen to share some with me. Here are some links to the recipes that we used:
- Rabbit’s Veggie Tray w/ Ranch Dip
- Eeyore’s Cheer Up Rainbow Fruit Tray w/ Dip (mix 8 oz of cream cheese with one small jar of marshmallow fluff)
- Piglet’s Pigs-In-A blanket
- Pooh’s Honey Ham Sliders
- 100 Acre Woods BBQ – my sister smoked this but you could try this easy Pulled Pork recipe instead
- Kanga’s Tuna Pouches – we used pita bread cut in halves for ‘pouches’
- Christopher Robin’s Deviled Eggs
- Tigger’s Twisted Tail Pasta Salad – box
- Roo’s Ranch Bacon Pasta Salad – box
- Pooh’s Favorite Cupcakes – yellow and chocolate box mixes with homemade Buttercream

- Yummy for my Tummy Brownies – box
- Tiggerific Sugar Free Bouncing Bean Cupcakes –we baked them in silicon liners and then put them in the paper liners.

- Piglet’s Oh D-d-dear Dirt Puddings with ‘Strawberry Carrots’ – dipped in orange melting wafers

- Pooh’s Punch – Blue Hawaiian Punch
- Tigger’s Juice – Red Hawaiian Punch
- Eeyore’s Sweet Tea
- Piglet’s Lemonade
- Owl’s Beak Treats – Chex Mix
- Cheese Ball (I can’t remember the themed name we came up with)

Everything came together fairly quickly. My sister brought me some chafing dishes that helped a lot… I had planned to buy some last year but my budget only allowed for the cheap ones which did the job but these other ones made everything seem a little bit ‘FANCIER’… 🙂

The baby shower decoration kit also came with a QR code to download some of the cute signs you see. I also made up some Pooh-themed games on CANVA that I’ll link to below… these were made for our personal use but I am sharing them for you… they are NOT FOR PROFIT.
My sister had found some cute bee hive lotions and mini hand sanitizers for party favors… so CUTE!

Of course, we had some pretty photo opportunities in our gardens and we were able to pick some fresh flowers for decor. God is so GOOD to supply us with everything we need even before we know we need it… HE gave us so many beautiful places to ENJOY on this special day and HE even gave us BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKIES!

I also want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the GUYS for getting the mowing and weed eating done… it looks GREAT!
We also had on major SNAFU… our canopy blew over and broke so the tables outside were in FULL sun and didn’t get used… at least we kept the neighbors entertained!
