2025-2026 Homeschool Curriculum: Montessori Integration

I know I posted our 2025-2026 Curriculum and plans earlier but I’ve recently gotten a Montessori program for our youngest, Shyanne, who has special needs. She really seems to thrive with this approach and we all really LOVE it. We still love our CHARLOTTE MASON and this seems to fit in well with it.

This program is designed for younger children but the older ones have actually been enjoying it with her and our approach allows us to easily work it into our daily schedule. It wasn’t FREE or anything that I would normally purchase but we had some special circumstances that made it possible. You can check it out HERE if you would like to learn more about it. There was A LOT of printing as I chose the DIGITAL form to keep the cost down a little.

Here are some of the items that we have purchased to go along with this curriculum… I already had some of the suggested items on hand so that made the decision a little easier for me. They do offer several FREE options for materials on the site.**

I also purchased some of the materials for the 2nd year as well but I won’t list them right now… baby steps. There may be additional items that I decide to purchase but I want to wait and check them out as they are mentioned in the lessons.

I did a purge of her toy shelf and used the trays and baskets to set up ‘work’ for her. She is learning to set out her rug and then to choose one tray or basket ot play/work with and then to clean it up before she gets another one out. We have some empty spaces on the shelf as I haven’t introduced some her ‘work’ to her as we want her to learn to use the items properly. I will also be rotating them out to keep interest and help keep things ‘special’.

She still has toys that get rotated and she knows that some of her toys are in the bedroom so she does bring them out to play when she wants but they aren’t out in the main area all the time. I have extra materials stored in the cabinets in this room as well so I can introduce new things as they are mentioned in the curriculum.

A lot of her ‘work’ is more like play and we will still have a lot of outdoor time … she is just so EXCITED to have her own school materials. Even though we had been doing her lessons online she just seems to enjoy being able to touch and see everything… I love her EXCITEMENT!

Our new setup means that we are using the pool table for school work… it has a ping pong top on it, so it is HUGE!

GOD BLESS!
