Sweet Onion Sauce (Updated with printable recipe)

I usually try to make this the day before we need it or at least a few hours ahead of time so that the flavors can meld together but if you need to use it right away it’s still delicious.

This makes a big batch… about 2-3 cups worth… so you may want to half it if you don’t need as much.

We reuse some old squirt bottles from other condiments to store this in once it has cooled down. I have also kept it in glass jars but they are a little more difficult to control when pouring.

This is great on sandwiches and can be used as a salad dressing as well. My family has put it on a variety of different foods and even used it as a dip for chips or in place of ketchup on their fries!

Tip: blend your onion in the food processor or blender and add a bit of water to it so it gets smooth!

Sourdough Battered Squash Blossoms

Oh my! How did I not know that fried squash blossoms were a thing?

I just happened to search for ways to use squash blossoms the other day as we have several veggies starting to ripen and it seemed such a waste for those big beautiful blossoms to just wither away. That’s when I found out that fried squash blossoms were a thing and I had to give them a try.

Easy Chia Pudding

This recipe is pretty easy to make and I’m sure you could adjust it in many ways to suit your taste. I love that this is full of fiber, protein, and lots of healthy fats that little bodies and brains need!

I’m not sure how long this will keep in the fridge as I need to make a new batch every 3 to 4 days because my kiddos just gobble it up! Little miss loves this for breakfast or a snack.

Weekly Meal Planning and Grocery List Printable

I just thought I’d jump on here and share this simple printable I made. Today is meal planning day here as tomorrow will be our grocery pickup day and I have misplaced the meal planning sheet I was using so I decided to make a new instead of scribbling it out on a scrap piece of paper again this week. Now that it is posted on my blog here I can find it the next time I need it… at least I hope. I’ve already lost a copy of it somewhere on my computer this afternoon… lol.

Meal planning is a must around here and with all of the social distancing precautions still in effect we try not to make too many trips to the store… I really love the Grocery Pickup services but even with their ‘No Contact’ feature I try to only go once a week.

When I write out my meal plans the older girls can see them which means they can help get out the items that I need for each meal. This is especilally helpful right now because sometimes our littlest princess can be very needy and refuses to cooperate when Momma needs to get things done.

Speaking of our adorable little princess, she is singing her ‘you better get over here and pick me up before I start screaming’ song right now. So without further ado, here you go:

Here’s a link to my grocery list that I use as well but I need to update mine as our needs have changed a little bit since the last update. It was also originally organized by the order of the aisles in our favorite store at the time but we know how frequently those things can change. I currently use this as I am meal planning so I can check my pantry supplies and check off what I need for the week’s meals. I then use the grocery app to place my order.

Here’s a blank one also:

White Chocolate Fudge

This is a family favorite that is so easy to adapt to make your own unique fudge flavors. You can add crushed cookies and/or candies to this to make it extra special as well as adding colorings to customize it for different holidays or occasions. The possibilities are endless!
