You may be wondering just what the heck Diatomaceous Earth is and what is used for. Well Diatomaceous Earth or (DE) is a fine powder made up of tiny fossilized plankton. It has a variety of uses that range from cleaners, health and beauty products, pest control, etc.
It is also very rich in silica which is needed for healthy teeth, skin, nails, hair, and bones. We have used it here in our home for a wide range of issues. Recently I purchased a bag of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. It has many different health benefits but the one my daughter was most interested in was a facial mask or scrub as she has been busy making makeup videos.

I know we are almost to the middle of November and it seems like mosquito bites should be over with for a bit, but not here in Florida. This past weekend was the beginning of hunting season and I spent most of my time out in the woods.
I had forgotten to take along the bug spray but it was quite chilly so I didn’t buy any on the way either. That was a big mistake!
We found a game trail and decided to check it out. Not long down the trail I was attacked by mosquitoes and bitten several times near my right eye. Ughhh…. that really hurt. Not to mention it was quite ugly and itchy.
