What a great month! We have had several wonderful dances at our new location.

You can find us on Fridays at the First United Methodist Church at 200 N. Walnut St. in Starke.

We held our first dance there on October 6th. We had some special visitors from NEFSARDA who joined us as we presented toys to the Basketball Cop. The toys had been collected at the 5th Saturday Dance in

September.

Then on October 13th we held a special Friday the 13th/Black Cat Dangle Dance. We had Mr. Ellis Lindsey as our guest caller. Some of the dancers dressed in costume. We had a great time dancing, to our favorite callers, with Yoda, a Devil, a Police Officer, and a couple of cute cats.

The ladies in Starke were ‘Pretty in Pink’ on October 27th in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A great time was had by everyone…

Silver Fox Squares: October 2017 Update

Susie @ Pollywog's Place Blog's avatarBlack Creek Squares Dance Club

We had a rough start to the month of September and were forced to cancel dances in Starke and Ft. White due to Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the recent storms.

On September 22nd we had a dance and NEFSARDA came to retrieve the banner that our club had received at the previous 5th Saturday Dance in July. There was plenty of dancing and good times to be had by all.

Many of the dancers met afterwards at Powell’s Dairy Freeze for a bite to eat and some sweet treats. Everyone is always so very nice to us there.

During the week of the 29th we were informed that FEMA would be using the Bradford County Senior Center and all activities had been cancelled, which included our square dances.

Not to fear as arrangements were made  to start dancing at the…

We had such a great time on Friday, June 9th, at our Chili Dog Dangle Dance. We had several visitors from other clubs and everyone had great big smiles on their faces. It was great to see everyone having so much fun!

Some of us went to Powell’s Dairy Freeze after the dance for ice cream and more laughs!

We want to thank everyone who attended for making this dance such a success. We really enjoyed having you join us for food, fun, and fellowship! We also want to thank our club members who provided the wonderful refreshments. Everything was delicious!

Several people ordered dangles which should be here soon. I will post a picture of the Dangles when they arrive.

Below are some pictures from the dance. You can also check us out on Facebook to see some video clips. Be sure to come visit us at our next…

Covered Dish Dinner/New Class

We started a new class this past week and we had enough food to feed an army! There was plenty of fun and dancing all around!

Susie @ Pollywog's Place Blog's avatarBlack Creek Squares Dance Club

Last night, May 9th, kicked off our new classes in Ft. White. We had plenty of delicious food like lasagna, sweet n sour meatballs, cabbage and sausage, chili, and too many desserts to list.

I didn’t take a lot of pics as I was too busy dancing and gabbing with friends but below are a few that I took and a few that were sent to me.

If you didn’t get to make it last night please come next Tuesday, May 16th, and join us.
