I will try to post a few recipes that should be fairly budget-friendly and easy to make for anyone wanting to learn to make things from scratch.
This month is full of special holidays, but I thought I’d start with National Pi Day on March 14th. We usually go with Pizzas on this day. For sides, we will have breadsticks and/or salad. Here are a few of our favorite pizza recipes:
For dessert, we will make some sort of pie:
- Favorite Lemon Meringue Pie
- Fried Apple Pies
- Nana’s No-Bake Pig Out Pie
- Nanny’s No-Bake Coconut Cream Pie

Another fun holiday, full of special recipes, is St. Patrick’s Day. We have a whole day of fun recipes planned out HERE:

Another recipe that I like to make in March is Cowboy Grub Dinner. We like to have this when the weather is still a bit chilly. It goes well with some corn chips or cornbread, as it is pretty much a meal in a bowl. For dessert, we often have some Blonde Brownies.

Next month, we have several fun holidays to prepare for as well, like Earth Day… There are a ton of fun and easy desserts to make for this special day like an Earthquake Cake, or a Mississippi Mud Cake.

Don’t be afraid to give these a try… you might just be amazed at what you can make.
Be sure to print out a grocery list so you can make sure to get everything you might need! Remember that these are just ways to incorporate a little fun into your daily life and to make special memories with your family. You can make your own traditions, and come up with your own special recipes… maybe even use some special family recipes for special days.
God Bless!
