I know we are excited when we have someone graduating and often it seems like we misplace the template for the diplomas… here is the most recent one we have used so that you can use it too… if you like!

I am hoping to make a new devotional for each month this year… that’s a big challenge, but it is something that has been on my heart. For April, our monthly theme will be KINDNESS. We will be trying to find ways to show a little more KINDNESS through routines and habits.
Here is the FREE printable, if you’d like to join us:
Continue reading “Clothed in KINDNESS Devotional”This time of year seems to be a little busier for us, so I thought it might be helpful if I just got all my special meals and recipes gathered for the month. I checked the menu plan and have made a list of the holidays that we want to celebrate.
If you haven’t seen our Perpetual Meal Plans yet, then you really need to check them out, as they have all kinds of special and unique holidays listed. Now is the time to start making your bucket list for Fall things, if you haven’t already.
You can also check out our Holidays tab and the April Holidays post for even more ideas!
Don’t forget to add upcoming birthdays onto your Meal Plan!
Here are a couple of links that you might find helpful:
1: April Fool’s Day – it is also National Sourdough Bread Day!
National Burrito Day – 1st Thursday in April
12: National Grilled Cheese Day – these go really well with some SOUP!
22: Earth Day – many people choose a vegetarian meal, but you could also try something fun like an Earthquake Cake, a Mississippi Mud Cake, or a Rainbow designed fruit tray – it is also National Jelly Bean Day
23: National Zucchini Bread Day
24: Pig in a Blanket Day
26: Pretzel Day
Friday the 13th: Good Luck Meal
Holy Week: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter
1: May Day – this is also Mother Goose Day
4: May the ‘4th’ Be With You Day
We have also been studying ‘Holy Days‘, and we try to add them in as we can.
Biblical Feasts: Spring Feast Resources
I’m sure there are some days that I haven’t added, but let us know in the comments if there are any that you think should make the list!
God Bless!
This year, the USA is celebrating its 250th birthday.
Why do we care?
We care about the USA’s 250th birthday, because we believe that the United States of America was founded on Christian principles, standing as a light for freedom and hope around the world. It is an imperfect, but radiant nation; a testament to the blessing of God on a flawed but faith-filled people. It’s a joy to celebrate the birthday of a good land!
We care about the USA’s 250th birthday, because we believe that we honor our Creator by remembering His hand in our history, so that we can set our hope in Him for the future.
“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done… so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.” (Psalm 78:4,7)
Continue reading “Homeschool Summits: Under God: A 1776 Celebration Summit”We just finished reading through this book about the hilarious misadventures of this deranged gentleman turned knight errant, and needed a Quiz to add to our grades. This quiz works well with the version of Don Quixote written for kids (James Baldwin) but it should also work with the novel written by Miguel de Cervantes.
We have been using the lesson from Under the Home, but the audio book versions are not currently working. The site still has lots of useful information and lesson plans though! We were able to find the audio version on YouTube as well.
