By the Shores of Silver Lake Adventure: Language Arts Lesson Plans

These are divided into weekly work as we like to use Loop Scheduling in our home. We simply work on a little bit and then move on to the next subject area. We have four days of ‘school’ and then the fifth day is used to finish up projects that we have been working, for independent study, or fun activities and field trips. This post actually started out as a different post but it got so long that I broke it down and decided to share this part of it with you today! Things have been SO CRAZY BUSY here lately... I can't tell you about everything we've been up to but I will let you know about a few things we have been doing down below. We are so excited about EVERYTHING that is going on and we just can't wait to SPILL THE BEANS with EVERYONE! Life Update: Dentist Appointments, Bread Store, and New Glasses

This post actually started out as a different post but it got so long that I broke it down and decided to share this part of it with you today!

Things have been SO CRAZY BUSY here lately… I can’t tell you about everything we’ve been up to but I will let you know about a few things we have been doing down below. We are so excited about EVERYTHING that is going on and we just can’t wait to SPILL THE BEANS with EVERYONE!

For now, though I’ll tell you about some of our latest adventures here in our little cabin.

A trip to the movies

We took them ALL to see the new Lion King and it was so GOOD! My oldest son was a HUGE Lion King fan when he was little… and I believe he may still be very partial to the original but my younger kids only knew about the new Disney version of the series.

Bye-Bye Monster Spray! aka ‘Bedtime Spray’

Have your kids ever climbed into your bed because they were afraid of the monsters under their bed? Well, you may need to make up some Bye, Bye Monster Spray to keep those pesky monsters away! Plus the lavender essential oil may even help your kids sleep a little better.

If you don’t care for lavender oil you can use just about any other oil that you prefer.

Do you hate spiders? Ok, well the itsy bitsy spider nursery rhyme is kinda cute but I don't want any spiders anywhere inside of my house and neither do the kids. This video made me think of how my kids act when they see a spider:
