Whipped Honey Butter and Cinnamon Butter

I couldn’t decide whether to make these two separate recipes or one but decided on one as we always make them together and it would just be that much simpler to have them on the same page… right?

Anyway, I’ve had to type these up from memory as my recipe binder is packed up in the shed as I really thought we’d be in our new house by now… I’ll update this if I need to once I get to my binder which won’t be any time soon:

We really love this on fresh yeast rolls and my favorite recipe is in that same binder but the 30 minute Rolls are really good with these kinds of butter as well.

Update: I did find my Holiday Binder and I had my butter recipe stapled right to my recipe for the rollspretty smart, huh? I’ve updated the recipe to add a couple of things my memory had left out.

Simple Cranberry Relish

I love cranberry sauce of any kind but this one is the bomb! It is so easy to make and it really does taste so much better than the kind in the can that you can find in every store around Thanksgiving.

Homemade Pedialyte and the BRAT/BOAT Diet

I hate it when my kids get sick and I really hate it when they can’t keep anything down. When the nasty stomach bugs hit our home we try to have a supply of ginger ale and foods for the BRAT/BOAT diet on hand. Sometimes though I find myself unprepared and I need to whip up a batch of this Homemade Pedialyte for the kiddos.

They also like to sip on some homemade bone broth when I have some ready. (aff link)

BRAT/BOAT Diet:

Bananas

Oatmeal/Rice

Applesauce

Toast (crackers count as well)

This helps a lot when I have kids who have been throwing up and/or may have diarrhea.

Apple Pie Filling For Canning

This stuff is so good… even when you don’t put it in a pie! This can be made in bulk and canned for later use. I always had a stockpile of this on hand when I was into canning. I really do need to get back into it again soon! I’ve never tried freezing it but it should be ok.

This recipe works well for the Apple Crisp Recipe I have. For a pie simply pour a jar into an unbaked pie shell and top with another unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour.

Super Simple Graham Cracker Crust

When you see just how easy this is you may never buy a store-bought crust again! I recently saw a similar crust made with gingersnaps and a touch of cinnamon… I know what I’ll be trying out soon!

You can try this with just about any cookie… gingersnaps, vanilla wafers, chocolate wafers, etc. You can even substitute brown sugar for the sugar. The possibilities are endless!
