Holiday Meal Planning Made Easy With The Deck The Freezer Party!

As you all probably know I am a big fan of Meal Planning here at our home. We stay so busy and we are constantly on the go so it can be hard to figure out the ‘What’s for dinner?’ question every single day. I have found it so helpful to have a stash of freezer meals on hand for those super BUSY nights and when I saw this Deck the Freezer Party pop up in my email I was so excited that I just had to share!

I know that even though our schedules are already BUSY things always seem to get busier around the holidays… and this year will be NO EXCEPTION as we are preparing for OUR NEW HOME, which has had yet another delay… y’all please say a prayer that I don’t lose my sanity over here!

On top of all of that NONSENSE, I know we will have a lot of planning, crafting, and baking going on for the HOLIDAYS. I also planned to host a Polar Express Party in our new home but it is looking like we might not be able to do that either… I am seriously about to cry because I really want to do this again.

One thing I won’t need to cry about is what we will be having for dinner. I just downloaded the FREE Meal Plan and boy do is it look good! I will probably add a few more recipes to my list because we have a lot of people to feed and a lot of busy days ahead but this party is going to be a great way to get started!

What are you waiting for?

I know I’ll feel good knowing that I have some healthy meals ready to go because during the hustle and bustle of the holidays it can cause us to throw out meal plans out the window and we may find that we are eating more fast-food which is not good for our budgets or our health. That’s where this Deck the Freezer Party comes in to save the holidays and make things a little less stressful!

What will you get?

When you sign up for the Deck the Freezer Party you will get a meal plan, recipes, shopping list and everything you need to prepare up to 6 freezer meals for those busy holiday nights.

The party begins on November 4th, so be sure to sign up for the Deck the Freezer Party today. I hope to see you there!

Monday Message: Seeing Your Blessings Through The Tears

I had planned to just ‘chill out’ this weekend and maybe work on our next Little House on the Prairie Adventure but lately, things rarely go as planned around here.

Friday had been rearranged for a very important event that didn’t happen because of a HUGE misunderstanding. To say I was disappointed would be a HUGE understatement but this event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, so fingers crossed that everything goes as planned.

Friday evening I had been binge-watching some Fixer Upper when a text came through. It was from Southwestern Produce to let us know that they had rescheduled the veggie pickup due to bad weather… well, that threw a little wrench in Saturday’s plans as I had already scheduled a few other things around the pickup but I quickly got to work a rescheduled things so I wouldn’t have to get up quite so early… yay! I still need to figure out a plan for next weekend as I already had plans for Saturday morning… Continue reading “Monday Message: Seeing Your Blessings Through The Tears”

100 Days of Summer Freezer Meals – the series!

I know it’s the middle of summer but I just found this great program that I had to share! I’m always looking for ways to cut back on the craziness around here and I am a big supporter of meal planning. (I do apologize for dropping the ball lately on getting those posted but I promise you I have a very good reason which I’ll share soon!) The one thing I need to incorporate more into my meal planning is freezer cooking. Protein Power Pancakes (3 variations)

This is a variation from our regular pancake recipe that adds a little extra protein and good stuff to get your day started off on the right foot! You can add other yummies like blueberries, chocolate chips, or even some pureed pumpkin to make these even better. The variations are countless.

Below the first recipe is a recipe for sourdough pancakes and a ‘hybrid recipe’ too that we use on occasion when time is crunched. These can also be used to make waffles as well. We usually make these for breakfast and have enough leftover for lunch. Sometimes I will also make a couple batches and freeze them too.

Why don’t you give them a try with our favorite Blueberry Syrup (with healthier options) or Homemade Chocolate Syrup (with healthier options) and a little bit of whipped cream? Just because we are on a journey to healthier eating doesn’t mean we can’t still indulge in some of our favorites. We just need to look at them a little differently and change them a tad to make them work with our new way of eating. Continue reading “Protein Power Pancakes (3 variations)”

Quick & Easy Garlic Bread or Garlic Cheesy Bread

This recipe is just too easy and with just a few ingredients and minimal work you can impress your family and friends while taking an ordinary meal to an extraordinary meal. Really this is so good that a couple of guests said it was ‘the bomb’ the last time we had it and it is so easy a kindergartener can do it (with a little help when it comes to the oven).

The other great thing about this is that you can fix up a couple loaves at a time and store them in the freezer for easy additions to meals. Continue reading “Quick & Easy Garlic Bread or Garlic Cheesy Bread”
