Special Holiday Meals: May Edition

This time of year seems to be a little busier for us, so I thought it might be helpful if I just got all my special meals and recipes gathered for the month. I checked the menu plan and have made a list of the holidays that we want to celebrate.

If you haven’t seen our Perpetual Meal Plans yet, then you really need to check them out, as they have all kinds of special and unique holidays listed. Now is the time to start making your bucket list for Spring things, if you haven’t already.

Top 10 Favorite Blog Posts of 2025

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your love and support. This year has been very challenging as we had an unexpected health crisis mid-year… right after we had torn our master bathroom out. This meant that went on the back burner, but we will be starting that in the next week or two as it is a NEED now more than ever. We had planned to make it handicap accessible for Shyanne, and we really need to make it happen ASAP.

We also welcomed a new grandbaby to the family this past FALL. We have spent the last two months just preparing our hearts and homes for this holiday season so we can make special memories for our families to look back on.

This year has been full of memories from our Biblical Feast Celebrations to the fun Hobbit Day Feast. We also held a Winnie the Pooh themed Baby Shower and our annual Polar Express... don’t forget St. Nicholas Day and our Bethlehem Dinner as well. I forgot to take pictures this year. We’ve also had quite the year with our garden and we started working on making new videos for our YouTube channel too.

We have also been blessed to have my mom visit with us as we haven’t seen her in quite some time. Our routines and schedules have changed quite a bit as we have added new people to our household, but we are steadily finding a new normal. We look forward to the coming year as some of the family plan to move closer which means we will get to see the little ones even more!

I just wanted to share the Bible Study app that I’ve been using… it is so inspirational and keeps me on track.

This morning’s message was a reminder that GOD always keeps HIS promises… not maybe, but HIS PROMISES are for certain!

Polar Express 2025

We hope and pray you are all having a blessed holiday season. This post is a little later than I had wanted due to some computer glitches. Thankfully, the problem has been remedied, and I can share some of our Polar Express updates with you.

Once we got to St. Nicholas Day, we got the tree up… it is a little smaller and simpler than usual, but it works perfectly for us right now. Then it was time for us to focus on the upcoming Polar Express Party, our Bethlehem dinner, Christmas Eve dinner with our traditional eggnog making party, and then Christmas Dinner, and planning for our family that will be visiting.

We had our Polar Express Party on the 2nd Saturday of December, as this seems to work out best for most people. We did not have as many people as we had expected, but it was a lot of fun. This has been an annual tradition that we try to keep for our friends and family, and some were able to experience it for the first time this year.

St. Nicholas Day 2025

Whew! This year is flying by at warp speed! I completely forgot to update you all about our St. Nicholas Day this year, but I did post a video on YouTube that I will post below.

We let the kids make their own Santa Pancakes with fresh fruit and whipped cream… yummy! We also had a few things in their stockings, as well as a few little candies. We read the book, ‘Saint Nicholas: The Real Story of the Christmas Legend.’ I will link it below.
