Easy Apple Dumplings

These are definitely not super healthy but they are pretty easy to make. They are also a special treat we enjoy from time to time. I’d say you could probably exchange the apples for other fruits as well. Continue reading “Easy Apple Dumplings”

Chicken Pillows

This is a recipe that I have adapted from the Real Mom Cookbook. I love mushrooms and I love these. I usually saute the rest of the mushrooms from the pack and serve them with dinner. You could probably use canned mushrooms but I prefer to buy fresh ones.

The original recipe also has a sauce that goes with it but my kids don’t like the sauce and prefer to eat with their hands whenever they can. These are also great to make for parties or get-togethers. Continue reading “Chicken Pillows”

Chinese Fried Rice with Veggies

I love Chinese food but I don’t get the chance to get it very often. I have a few different stir fry recipes but I needed a good recipe for fried rice. Well, it took me a little while but I came up with one that the whole family enjoys. This could almost be a meal in itself.

We like to eat this with the Japanese White Sauce. It’s probably not the healthiest thing in the world but we don’t eat it very often. Also, check out my recipe for Easy Fried Noodles. This is also a great freezer meal!

Potato Salad (with cauliflower alternative)

S’mores

Who doesn’t love a campfire with and roasting marshmallows? We try to have a ‘Weenie Roast‘ every few months and let the kids roast their hot dogs and marshmallows on a stick. They love it!

We also do this at least one night when we go camping. I am so ready to go right now! S’mores are the best when you take a freshly roasted marshmallow from the campfire but you can also make them in the microwave if you don’t happen to have a campfire handy.

Have you tried S’mores Dip yet? Continue reading “S’mores”
