Getting Kids To Help In The Kitchen

myAvatar (1)Mommas, I know how things can get when you let the kids help out in the kitchen. They get underfoot and you have to repeat things over and over again and again. In fact, many times things seem to go faster when you don’t let them help but trust me, you want them to help just as much as they want to help. In the long run, it will be beneficial to everyone if you can get them in the kitchen as soon as possible! Continue reading “Getting Kids To Help In The Kitchen”

Being the change …

Here at our little cabin, we’ve been on a mission to ‘Go Green’ or at least go greener than we have been and let me tell you that it has not been an entirely smooth path. I’ve spent countless hours researching products and companies, then spent money on products that seemed like they would be a good fit only to find out that they didn’t work for us.

I have found some products that I really loved but I had to pay a yearly subscription fee or had a minimum monthly purchase required to be able to keep buying them. Well, no more hassles here. I’ve found a company that offers everything we need and more.

The first product I ordered was a couple of these cute little ‘pet to dry’ hand towels for the bathroom:

The kids love using them and I love that they don’t get pulled off the towel bar every time someone washes their hands. They also have this great BacLock feature that keeps them from getting all sour-smelling… you know what I mean. Yuck!

I recently placed another order for even more products and made the decision to join the company as an Independent Sales Consultant. Yay!! I have been pondering the idea for a while after stumbling across some YouTube videos a few months back. I had been hesitating because I was waiting for the right time… I’m sure many of you can relate.

Accepting Criticism

Sometimes we receive comments that may seem critical, condescending, and downright rude. These kinds of things can make a person doubt what they are doing and if they are doing it correctly. While pondering on the remarks and deciding on a response I was reminded of a couple of Bible verses.

The first being:

Judge not, that you be not judged.

Matthew 7:1 Continue reading “Accepting Criticism”

Meal….that was the new word of the day!

I was putting the little boys down for a nap when the 3-year-old asked if he could have a ‘meeyal’ after nap.

‘Huh?’

‘A meeyal momma.’ Continue reading “November 28, 2016”
