Hey friends! Grab a warm drink, pull up a chair, and let’s chat for a minute. As the summer heat starts to break and that first bit of autumn wind rolls in, my mind automatically goes to the shifting seasons—not just outside, but on God’s calendar. 

If you’ve been following along with us lately, you know our family has been deep in the trenches of organizing our home, making monthly devotionals, and streamlining our everyday routines. Today, I am so excited to finally open up our folders and share something close to my heart: our brand-new Christian Fall Feast Unit Studies! 

This open-and-go packet covers Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). It traces the amazing Old Testament history straight through to how it all beautifully points to Jesus. 

Before you jump in and hit print, I wanted to share a few quick thoughts on how this study came together and how to make it work best for your own family. I started this as a quick unit study to allow our family to focus a little more on the upcoming Fall Feasts, but then I thought it was so great I should share it.

First things first: this comes straight from a Christian perspective. The real heartbeat here is the Gospel! We’ve woven a biblical worldview into every subject—whether the kids are working on history timelines, practicing their cursive copywork, running math calculations, or working through biology lessons. 

I also want to be totally real with you guys: I am not a perfect scholar, and this study is based entirely on the knowledge, books, and research I currently have access to right now. The history of biblical calendars and ancient harvest cycles is a massive ocean! Because of that, there might be a few spots where information varies depending on what resources you look at, or where your family’s personal study emphasizes a different angle. 

Biblical Feasts: Fall Feast Resources

Please don’t treat this workbook like a rigid, final textbook. Think of it as a fun launching pad! I absolutely encourage you to take these pages, open up your Bibles, and do your own research as a family. Turn it into a detective game with your kids—look up the original scripture texts, dig into Hebrew word meanings, and learn together. 

Finally, let’s talk about the activities. From our character tracking sheets to the hands-on lesson blocks, you know we love sensory learning around here. This unit is packed with creative, tactile projects—everything from building mini indoor “stuffie” Sukkahs to baking harvest apple-date crisps together in the kitchen. 

But remember: every single home and schedule is completely unique. Please use your own parental wisdom and discretion when picking which activities to try! If a recipe doesn’t fit your family’s food preferences, swap out the ingredients. If a craft or indoor project doesn’t line up with your child’s age or your current setup, skip it or change it up. You know your kids and your home best, so make these tools serve your routine, not the other way around!
