There’s been some sweet celebrating around here!
I recently made two birthday cakes for the grandbabies, and they were so much fun. One was a dancing fruit cake with the cutest little fondant fruits. That smiling banana was my favorite—I never thought I’d get so attached to a piece of fondant!

The other was Minnie Mouse themed, with pink and white frosting, those familiar ears, and a sweet fondant bow. Of course, there were little bow-topped cupcakes to go along with it!

I also made a cute chicken cake for a family friend, complete with little eggs tucked around her nest. She fit right in with the kind of fun we enjoy around here!

I really do enjoy making cakes. They aren’t perfect, and I learn something every time, but I love being able to make something special for the people I love. The frosting gets eaten, the dishes eventually get washed, and the memories stay.
A little sugar, a little creativity, and a whole lot of love.
I hope this inspires you to try something new… do what you can with what you have.
God Bless!
