Sowing Seeds of FAITH: A lesson in PATIENCE

Today during my Bible Study I read Philippians 1:6

‘Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.’

We must always remember that the ONE who started HIS work in us is committed to finishing it!

No matter what path we are on, it is a path that has been created by our FAITH and our choices. Sometimes we might feel stuck, or feel like things are not progressing fast enough. We have to remember to have PATIENCE because there are unseen forces at work… just like a newly planted seed doesn’t show growth right away. The roots usually start developing below the surface as they are needed to support and sustain the plant as it grows.

The same is happening in your life. Your support system is being created to help you reach your maximum potential. Remember that you have not been abandoned or forgotten… be comforted in knowing that GOD has a plan for you and HE has promised to see it through!

If you are feeling a little impatient, take a moment to look back on how far you have come. Remember that your journey is unique and important. Keep trusting in GOD’s plan and HIS timing!

I pray that this has blessed someone like it blessed me.

May GOD Bless You!

Biblical Feasts: Feast of the Trumpets Resources

Please note that I am NOT an expert on the BIBLE or on any of the BIBLICAL FEASTS, but I know others are feeling led to celebrate the FEASTS as we are, so I am just sharing what we have been learning. This post, like many of my posts, is a helpful reminder for myself and a place to put links that I might otherwise forget about.

Who should celebrate the Seven Biblical Feasts?

Well, that is a debate among many, and I have been doing TONS of research. During that research, I read somewhere that we are not commanded to celebrate them, but we are invited to celebrate them as Jesus did. How would you feel if you had invited someone to celebrate with you and they didn’t show up?

First and foremost, I would say that you need to pray and see if GOD is leading you to celebrate… you should pray about any big changes in direction before heading down a path that life may be leading you down.

Holy Days vs. Holidays

Why celebrate the Feast of the Trumpets?

Secondly, you should do your own research about Sukkot. Find out the who, the what, the when, the where. the why, and the how… all of it! Then you can decide if and how you want to celebrate it. You can start by reading through Leviticus 23.

As I mentioned before, we have already been invited, so I definitely want to celebrate… it would be rude to keep ignoring the invite, and if we don’t go, then HE might invite someone else in our place! This is an exciting time, and I want to show GOD how thankful we are for ALL that HE has blessed us with.

I also LOVE the idea of celebrating the birthday of the WORLD! I can’t wait for God to make the world new again!

WHY NOT CELEBRATE?

I can’t think of any reason not to celebrate.

Tres Leche Cake: Facil y Delicioso!

Its been a while since I’ve had a Tres Leche Cake, so I had to give it a go again… it was just as good as I remembered!

You can add any kind of fresh fruit that you like, we used strawberries this time, but you can use whatever is in season, or go without any fruit at all.

Creating a Racken House for Rabbits and Chickens with Links

We added some rabbits to our little collection earlier this year, and then we added a couple more. This has been in the plans for a while and we are glad to finally have a start on this new adventure, but the pens are not ready yet so we have been improvising by using some dog crates for housing.

When we first moved to Florida, we brought our rabbits with us and they had been housed within the chicken pen. Here, in Florida, we had the cages in the coop which helped as the chickens kept pest pressure low for the chickens and they were able to clean up any food waste… WIN, WIN!

That is the setup we are going for, and recently we learned that this is called a ‘Racken House’ or pen. I believe this name was coined by Joel Salatin and this is the way they raise rabbits and chickens on their farm. They also use mobile rabbit tractors and such as well, we also plan to do this in the future.
