Need an idea to use up some of the leftovers after Thanksgiving? Have you ever tried potato cakes? These are a favorite in our house and we have them whenever we have a pile of leftover Mashed Potatoes. These can be adapted to incorporated a variety of leftovers so clean out that fridge and see what you can find to make up a batch of these.
This is a recipe I’ve had since my high school home economics class. It was always a hit with my younger brothers and sisters as pizza was a rare treat for us when we were growing up and being able to make it at home was a blessing!
Homemade pizzas are always so much fun because everyone can make their pizza the way they like it… yay! If you don’t care for the tomato sauce you could probably give this a try with some Easy Alfredo Sauce. My kids like to eat their pizza with some homemade ranch dressing.

This recipe is fairly simple to make and you can actually make it a couple of ways… you can use Easy Alfredo Sauce in the place of the ‘sauce’ for this recipe. I love this stuff and when I was pregnant I would crave it… I always kept a batch made up. This is truly a recipe the kids can make by themselves!

This is another recipe from the old recipe box… who knows how long I’ve had it for sure? I do know it is a great way to use up any old bananas that might be hanging around your kitchen.
This also works great for the freezer. Just allow the bread to cool completely before wrapping in plastic wrap and placing it in the freezer.
