We’ve all heard the expression ‘It is better to give than to receive’ but what about when we are the receiver and not the giver?

I was once told, by an old preacher, that I should always accept things that are given to me. He told me that if I refused these kinds of gifts I may be robbing the giver out of a blessing.

Whoa! I had never looked at like that but now I do and I try to be as thankful as I can for everything even critical remarks and comments. I definitely don’t want to be considered a thief…

Oh, What a day! Freezer meals, Pinterest Suspension, and No Toilet Paper

Oh my goodness, what a day I’ve had and it isn’t even been lunchtime yet. I actually went to bed early last night as I was just so exhausted. Mr. Awesome had a meeting and wouldn’t be home until late so I made the most of the evening.

The kids helped me make Chili Dog Casserole for dinner. We made it a little bit different as we just put the hotdogs into hotdog buns, instead of tortillas, and then spread the chili sauce on top and sprinkled with cheese before baking.

Bye-Bye Monster Spray! aka ‘Bedtime Spray’

Have your kids ever climbed into your bed because they were afraid of the monsters under their bed? Well, you may need to make up some Bye, Bye Monster Spray to keep those pesky monsters away! Plus the lavender essential oil may even help your kids sleep a little better.

If you don’t care for lavender oil you can use just about any other oil that you prefer.

Diy Reusable Wipes

Do you feel guilty every time you grab that container of cleaning wipes from under the sink? I know I do, especially when it is so easy to make my own! Since we’ve gotten motivated to go further on our ‘chemical-free’ journey I have really been trying my best to eliminate nasty, toxic chemicals from our home in any way possible. These not only do that but they also save us a ton of money since we aren’t buying those expensive cleaning wipes anymore.
