I’m so looking forward to starting new classes because that means I’ll be meeting new people that I may not normally be in contact with. Our club has grown so much since I first started in January.

Many of us started out as strangers and now we are closer than some families. We come from all walks of life as we have moms, dads, bloggers :), farmers, quilters, hairdressers, nurses, teachers, grandmas, grandpas, young kids, cashiers, and even a retired doctor just to mention a few.

All of us have at least one thing in common, square dancing, and we are able to spend time with each other while also improving our lives one step at a time! We have so much fun it doesn’t seem possible. Many of us even do things together other than square dancing like shopping, hunting, and going out to eat on occasion.

(Some of our members don’t dance and just come to mingle with us and give us moral support but they are just as important as everyone else.)

I will say that just being a member of this club has helped my stress levels, helped me to make many new friends, improved my memory and concentration, helped my aches and pains from Fibromyalgia and arthritis, and just given me such a sense of accomplishment. I am proud to be a member of this group and proud to participate in the many events that we have done this past year including special dances and fundraisers.
