The Simple Joys of Slow Living: Have you ever heard of Rabbit ‘Rithmetic?

There are so many simple joys that can be found when we embrace the concept of ‘slow living’ which we are trying our best to do around here.

This month has been full of adventures here at home and away. We just never know what to expect. Our area has been experiencing a severe drought so that made gardening a little more challenging this season. We have been so blessed to get a decent amount of rain lately and I don’t complain about it, even when it happens mid harvest!

New Garden Design & Rabbitry Project Product Links

This weather has been wreaking havoc across the country, and our area has not been spared. Florida has been seeing some historic lows, snow, and some areas south of us have even been experiencing colder temps than we’ve had here at our home… CRAZY!!! No Chickens Allowed?

I’ve been a bit quiet lately as we’ve had a lot going on around here. Some good, some not so good, and some pretty sad things but we are still here and still keeping on.

**WARNING: this may be something of a ‘RANT’ so feel free to stop reading at any time. I also mention raising animals for human consumption so please STOP HERE if this is something you don’t agree with!

One major issue we’ve been dealing with is homeowner’s insurance which is required by our mortgage company. We’ve been told that many insurance companies have left our state so the number of carriers has been declining rapidly.

We have an older mobile home (1994) so that is another reason we are often given. It’s just been one thing after another and it’s definitely been a challenge to find someone who will insure our home. We had found a company and things were going along well until they did an inspection…
