I am hoping to make a new devotional for each month this year… that’s a big challenge, but it is something that has been on my heart. For February, our monthly theme will be LOVE. We will be trying to find ways to make our home and lives a little more peaceful through routines and habits.

We have been on a mission to bring our family closer together. This is something we have prayed long and hard about, and GOD is working!
We love a lot of old traditions and customs, along with some of the new ones. We try to have at least one or two ‘family get-togethers’ here at our home. The biggest is probably our annual Polar Express party around Christmas time… this has been happening for a while now, and everyone looks forward to it. Why stop at that? We were trying to have a special Sabbath meal each week, and also trying to plan a monthly family dinner with Papa and Nanny, but those got sidelined a bit.
Why? Well, our priorities shifted, and other things seemed more important. We have to make room and time for the people and things we truly love, so I am on a mission to bring back our family dinners. They may not be quite as fancy as they once were, because I’m still exhausted from all the challenges we had last year, but they will be fun.

Hey friends! I know I’m cutting it close with this, but I’ve worked hard to get this finished before the Thanksgiving holiday, so we would have it ready for the start of ADVENT. It has been a labor of LOVE, and I am so thankful to be able to share this with you.
I have put together this Advent Study to use for our homeschool during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We always try to do some sort of Advent Study, and I wanted to try to put one together… I did just that, and I think it’s going to be AMAZING!
This study can be as simple as like, but we have included:

Without further ado, I will post the links to all the parts… I did break this down into weekly units, covers, and a study guide to make it easier for me to save them on the computer and upload… Hopefully, this helps with the download part on your end. We will try to post links and resources as we go through the study so that you can follow along, if you like. We’re still in the middle of celebrating Sukkot so there hasn’t been a lot of gardening happening. I have a pile of plants to get in the ground and even more seeds to scatter around.
We have several beds to build and areas to clean up… then we plan to make another hoop tunnel to grow on for next year.
We’ve also got plans to build a new chicken coop and convert to old on for quail. We would also like to add some rabbits soon… hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop, and stop… that’s one of Shyanne’s favorite songs.
So many things to get finished but there is only so much time in a day. We just ask God to show us what needs done and ask for the strength and patience to see it through. He provides what we need, when we need it so we consider ourselves extremely blessed.
He will do the same for you, just trust in Him and hand your life over. It’s an amazing experience!

Hi! Just wanted to jump on really quickly and share a few photos of our 1st Bethlehem/Shepherd’s dinner which will be happening on a yearly basis in the future… the timing might change a bit but we definitely want to repeat this!
