Over the past few weeks, I have had my feelings hurt quite a bit by someone close to me.
I couldn’t understand what I had done to deserve the treatment I was receiving. It brought back so many painful childhood memories and was making me think about making some major life changes.
I see you in the grocery store, at the doctor’s office, and at the park. I see the smiles that hide the tears. I see the tired look you try to hide. I hear the little sigh you let out when another mom talks about ‘date night’ or a milestone their child has reached.
How do I see and hear all of this? I am a special needs mom, a single parent, a homeschooling mom, and so much more.
Its been a little while since I’ve written anything. I’ve had lots to think about and even more to do. One thing that has been on my mind a lot is what I would like to find in a relationship. Surprisingly enough one thing I desire is to be cherished. I think most of us want this too but few of us have ever felt this.
What does it even mean?
