Sourdough Battered Squash Blossoms

Oh my! How did I not know that fried squash blossoms were a thing?

I just happened to search for ways to use squash blossoms the other day as we have several veggies starting to ripen and it seemed such a waste for those big beautiful blossoms to just wither away. That’s when I found out that fried squash blossoms were a thing and I had to give them a try.

Sourdough Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

It’s been a long while since we’ve posted any recipes but here’s one we tried out this morning… we started it last night because it does take a little prep but the kids thoroughly enjoyed them. Mr. Joey said it ranked in the ‘Top 20’ of his all time favorite breakfasts.

Mrs. B’s Good Easy Pizza

This is a recipe I’ve had since my high school home economics class. It was always a hit with my younger brothers and sisters as pizza was a rare treat for us when we were growing up and being able to make it at home was a blessing!

Homemade pizzas are always so much fun because everyone can make their pizza the way they like it… yay! If you don’t care for the tomato sauce you could probably give this a try with some Easy Alfredo Sauce. My kids like to eat their pizza with some homemade ranch dressing.

Party Cheese Ball

This is the cheese ball recipe that I’ve been looking for… thankfully my Holiday Binder was still in the house and not packed away in the shed. My Holiday Binder has folders for every major holiday and party that we have celebrated and the recipes that we use for those events… such a timesaver! Kids can help with this too!

This can be made ahead of time and put in the freezer for up to a month. Just wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic, before covering with nuts, and place in the freezer. Allow it to thaw completely in the fridge before covering with nuts and serving.

**Special thanks to my son-in-law @moments2lifephotography for the amazing cover photo!

35+ Freezer Meals In One Day!

I had to do my grocery shopping this past weekend and our internet was DOWN! This meant that I needed to physically go into the store and push the buggy down the aisles… pure TORTURE, right? Well, maybe it doesn’t seem that bad but I have been spoiled by the grocery pickup service.

I did survive and I posted a picture of my overflowing buggy on my Instagram that evening and had a contest for the person who could most closely guess how much I spent. Continue reading “35+ Freezer Meals In One Day!”
