top 10 desserts pin.pngAs you all know the holidays are just around the corner and I’ve already been getting requests for my Fudge! I’ve also been getting requests for some of our family’s favorite recipes… some of which will be making it on our table here shortly!

If you don’t see what you are looking for be sure to check out Mama’s Recipe Box under the Keeper of the Home tab! You’ll also notice that there are no Cookie recipes listed as I have another post scheduled that will be dedicated just to the cookies that Santa loves around this time of year.

Some of these recipes are not that difficult and you can let the kids help… and make some great memories as well!

Grab a plate and maybe a big ole can of whipped cream and dig in!

I really was trying to be patient and I didn’t call or ask for updates as they had said they would contact us as soon as they had the closing date but I finally messaged them on October 10th to see what was going on and I really wasn’t too happy with the generic reply I received back. I ended up emailing the bank to ask about the holdup and within a day we had a closing date set.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I believe these are the cookies my little brothers had nicknamed ‘Cowboy Cookies’ but I’m not sure. I do know that they are really good and these can be made into gifts by layering the dry ingredients in a jar and attaching a copy of the recipe to the jar with a little bit of ribbon.

Watergate Salad

I don’t know why it’s called ‘salad’ but I’m not gonna argue with anyone because I really love this dessert so much but I do and I love that it is so easy to make!

Watergate Salad

Watergate Salad printable recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg instant pistachio pudding
  • 1 12-oz can crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 1 9-oz frozen whipped topping
  • 1 c. mini marshmallows
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:

Mix everything together and chill 4-5 hours.
