When you see just how easy this is you may never buy a store-bought crust again! I recently saw a similar crust made with gingersnaps and a touch of cinnamon… I know what I’ll be trying out soon!
You can try this with just about any cookie… gingersnaps, vanilla wafers, chocolate wafers, etc. You can even substitute brown sugar for the sugar. The possibilities are endless!
I’ve updated this recipe to include for baking it separately as well as some add-ins to make it a little extra special. I can remember getting out the biggest bowls we could find to make this when I was a kid. This was always the best part of Thanksgiving for me.

Well, many times stuffing is referred to as being cooked inside the turkey… hence the name while dressing was usually cooked in a separate dish. Many people in the South refer to it as dressing no matter how you cook it.
Well, it’s about that time of year when families far and near will be gathering around the table to enjoy each other’s company over a delicious meal. This year will be a little bittersweet for me as I know that I will be missing at least two of my kiddos plus their spouses for dinner… sniff, sniff. I do know that they are growing up and their lives are taking them other places so I am so very proud of them but I’m really gonna miss them… in fact, I already miss them and they aren’t even gone yet!
We will be having our dinner this year and we will have plenty of family favorites to enjoy. I was really HOPING and PRAYING that we would be having it in our new home but that doesn’t seem like it will happen this year… sigh. I am so THANKFUL that we are getting a new home though and I’m really trying to be as patient as I can be and PRAYING that NOTHING else comes up… the survey crew did come out so hopefully, we will be back on track soon! The other day I made a quick errand run to Sam’s Club to pickup up a few essentials and grab something for my sister-in-law to be. The kids and I then met up with her and exchanged her items and I got a camera that my brother no longer needed… yippee! Y’all know I have been talking about getting a new camera… new-to-me is new enough!
This actually happens to be the same camera that was used at my daughter’s wedding so I know how well it works and I’m excited to play with it and start taking some awesome photos!
By the time I got home, I was so ready for a nap and EVERYONE was starving. I decided to make a quick sheet pan dinner with some Super Yummy Caulitaters. This meal was so simple!
This particular day I also made a simple cheese sauce to go with it as Mr. Awesome can’t have broccoli without the cheese.
I should have doubled the recipe as EVERYONE DEVOURED it.
