Old-Fashioned Cornbread Dressing

I got asked for this recipe but I didn’t have it on the blog so I scrounged around my holiday binder to find it… just in time for Turkey Day! This is fairly similar to my Homemade Bread Stuffing except that it is made with cornbread… that is another recipe I’ll have to look for when I get everything unpacked! You can just make the recipe off the back of the bag and it will be fine!

Fun Fact:

You can also use this recipe for seeds from winter squashes, like spaghetti squash and butternut squash, as well. Continue reading “Roasted Pumpkin Seeds”

Apple Butter

I don’t post a lot of ‘canning’ recipes on here because most of what I know about canning is in my head. I just do things the way I saw them done when I was young and I can’t really guarantee the accuracy of all of them.

This recipe here is a good one for canning and giving out as gifts though. It really does taste so much better than the store-bought kind too and it makes the house smell so wonderful when it is cooking!

I’ll see if I can dig up my easier crockpot version too!

You can use this recipe for just about any kind of bean. We love our string beans and pole beans like this as well as lima beans!
