Transform Your Celebrations: Biblical vs. Traditional

Hey guys!

I don’t want to start any debates or anything but I know that I have had some feelings of conviction when it comes to certain holidays. I’ve celebrated them because that seemed like the ‘normal’ thing to do but I always had this little feeling that it wasn’t right. I didn’t realize until recently that there were a lot of other people who felt the same way.

I started doing a little more research about some of these ‘holidays’ and much of what I found didn’t sit well with me. This research led me to learn more about the Biblical Holy Days… or feasts. We’ve been incorporating more of these into our annual celebrations and leaving some of the old traditions behind. My heart feels better about these decisions even though some people don’t always agree with us. That’s Ok, we have to do what we feel led to do.

Holy Days vs Holidays

I encourage you to do some of your own research about upcoming holidays for this year as now is the time to start implementing changes and letting family or friends know about the changes you plan to make. It’s totally up to you and your family but I do encourage you to pray about these issues if you have felt convicted in any way.

Celebrating Biblical Feasts

I know we still have a lot more research to do and we are constantly learning but God will help us along this journey as long as we continue to seek His guidance through prayer.

We hope you all have a very blessed week!

This video popped up in my YouTube lists recently and I wanted to share it with you as it does touch on a few of these issues:

Keeper of the Home Printables

Perpetual Meal Plans

I made these up for last year but they have worked so well that we are keeping them around… I can spend less time meal planning and devote more time to other things that need my attention.

Here they are, all in one place:

Perpetual Meal Plan Spring

Perpetual Meal Plan Summer

Perpetual Meal Plan Fall

Perpetual Meal Plan Winter

The links should take you to each post where you can print out the meal plan.

Hope this helps!

I don’t have enough time to get it all done!

Maybe the holidays have had you stressed out… if so, then please check out this post for some ideas to get your new year started off on the right foot and sweep some of the stress out the door for good!
