Old Fashioned Divinity and Seafoam Candy

This candy has been around for a while but I’ve never attempted to make it until I heard Papa reminiscing about it. I’ve meant to try it a few times but that was just the little push I needed to give it a go and my family is glad I did. They truly are divine and they almost melt in your mouth!

It’s a good thing that these will only be made for special occasions as they is FULL of SUGAR!

This recipe really isn’t too difficult but it can be a little tricky… having a candy thermometer and a stand mixer make it a little easier.

It takes about 30-45 minutes to make a batch from start to finish (including clean up) but I can take several hours for the candy to set up completely… try not to eat it all before then!

What are some old-fashioned recipes that you remember from your childhood? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!

Polar Express 2024

Hey everyone!

How are you doing? We are doing great… I had to take a couple of days to recuperate from the Polar Express Party. It was so much fun but it did take a lot out of me… I ended up with a migraine that night and spent the next two days in bed with a dreaded FIBRO FLARE but it was worth it… everyone seemed to have a great time.

I didn’t get as many pictures as I should have as I was too busy taking it all in… the smiles, the laughter, and just the blessing of being surrounded by friends and family.

We made some Fudge and Sourdough for gifts plus we still had some things left over from the baby shower and wedding earlier this year so those were given as gifts as well… the kids got lots of little toys and some cocoa and popcorn for their own movie night plus some really cute cups that I found at Dollar Tree…

DIY Advent Games: Engage Kids This Holiday Season

Hey, it’s me again…

After I made the DIY Bingo cards I decided to go ahead and finish crossing off some more things on my To-Do List… some of them have been on that list forever as I only pull my Polar Express folder out once a year.

We have a pile of fun games that you can play at your next Christmas get-together or you can use them anytime during this Advent/Christmas Season. Many of these can be used even without printing out this packet, if you are unable to do so.

We will be using a lot of these during our next Polar Express party as well as some outside games like Corn Hole and Washer Toss, weather permitting. The kids are super excited and I’m so happy that they look so nice. I hope someone else might find these helpful.

God Bless!
