Easy Thumbprint Cookies

These were requested by one of the older kids, so I had to dust off the recipe a bit. We had some leftover Rosella Sauce that we needed to use up, and it was PERFECT with these! These are pretty easy to make and they are a lot of fun to make with the kids!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I can’t believe that I haven’t posted this recipe before now, but I guess I just overlooked it. I found it when I was searching for some other cookie recipes for our upcoming Polar Express Party.

You could even make these with/without raisins and add a layer of buttercream icing between two cookies for an oatmeal cookie pie!

Molasses Cookies

I forgot all about this recipe… I found it when I was looking for another recipe. It was scribbled on the back of a small note for something else, and I almost overlooked it. I do remember that these were so good that I asked for the recipe.

Eema’s Vanishing Cream Cheese Cookies

Mr. Awesome has gotten hooked on the cream cheese cookies from a certain sandwich chain. We tried a ‘copy-cat’ recipe, but it had so many crazy and hard-to-find ingredients that I decided to try tweaking our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe to make something close to what he was craving. After a few tries, we definitely have a winner!

I call them ‘Eema’s Vanishing Cream Cheese Cookies’ for a couple of reasons. First, I became a grandma last year and we decided that I will be called ‘Eema’ by the littles… so cute and precious to hear that! Secondly, these cookies tend to vanish before your eyes, so you’ve got to be quick to grab one when they have cooled down enough to eat. They are so GOOD! I’m so excited to share this recipe with everyone I know!

You could probably use any dried or freeze-dried fruit as long as it wasn’t hard, like dried bananas. I don’t think fresh fruit would work unless you ‘dry’ it in the oven for a bit before using it… You can probably research how to dehydrate fruit in the oven for some ideas on how to do this.

Don’t forget to like, comment, and share this recipe! Be sure to hit the ‘Follow’ button as well so you don’t miss out on any future recipes!

Cocoa and Cookies

It’s that time of year when the cooler weather seems to make us crave some hot cocoa. We have set up our ‘Beverage Station’ at home and the kids asked for cocoa. It just happened that we had some packets in the cupboard so I added them to the assortment of things they could choose from along with some marshmallows in a jar for them to use.

These recipes would be great for taking along with you on a car ride to look at Christmas lights. Many of them could even be used to make Gifts in a Jar to give away for the holidays. These would even be good to sip and snack on while snuggled up with your favorite book on a cold winter evening… mmmm.

You can create some really wonderful memories with your kiddos or grandkids as well by letting them help to make cookies and cocoa… these would be memories that stick with them!

Here are some of our All-Time Favorite cocoa recipes:

Cocoa In A Crockpot

Hot Cocoa (Powdered)

Single-Serve Hot Cocoa

The Best Hot Cocoa

You could easily replace the sugar with another sweetener if you are trying to eat healthier.
