Well, as you know from yesterday’s post I was a little emotional waiting for this doctor’s visit and ultrasound. I had prayed that everything would look better than it did before but that wasn’t really the case.
Continue reading “Looking On The Bright Side”The past couple of days have been a doozy here. As you all know my kiddos have had the stomach bug, then Mr. Awesome caught it, and then I got it. It seems to be taking me a bit longer to get over it but today I do feel like I’m on the mend. I’ll spend today focusing on getting rehydrated and trying to eat a little bit.
Even if you aren’t sick I know this time is harder for some than for others. We are facing a lot of changes and uncertainties that we’ve never dealt with before.

Hey guys! I hope you’ve all been doing well this week. Our week has been a bit busy with four dentist appointments and a slew of other things happening but I wanted to check in and give you all a couple of quick updates.
So last week we found out what our unexpected blessing will be and we are so excited to meet our little one! Watch this quick video to find out:
So we did get to celebrate Christmas in our new house even though we can’t officially move in yet and we had no power… or heat! We set the tree up and decorated it on Saturday and everyone had a lot of fun helping.
After the decorating was done it was time to kick the kids out of the house until Christmas as I needed a gift wrapping station. We had all helped to bring in a lot of the boxes I had in the shed… there may still be a gift or two hidden in there somewhere!
That was a lot of work to get all of those gifts wrapped and taken care of as I hadn’t wrapped the first gift, other than a couple that we took to a party, and there were a lot of boxes!

I think every kid loves playdough and mine are no exception. I recently pinned a bunch of playdough recipes on one of my boards but as luck would have it I actually found one of my own recipes in my old recipe box… it also happened to be the last recipe in the box.
Don’t worry though because I’ve got recipes stashed everywhere in this little house and I have some packed away in the shed so I’ll get them posted… hopefully faster than it took me to get through the recipe box though!
I have also seen some new recipes that are using essential oils which would smell so good. You could probably use this recipe and omit the Kool-aid pack. You could also color them with some natural dyes if you desired too.
